project 01: Knowledge base on learning theories
Course : IDE621 Principles of Instruction and Learning
Project title: Knowledge Base on Learning and Design Theories
Author: Abdulrahman Algriwi
Context of the project: The Knowledge Base was intended to reflect my own view of how learning theories–behaviorism, cognitivism, and social learning–define learning, how they are related, and how they differ from one another. The Front Page, which is a typical branching test, demonstrates this. In addition, each learning theory spawned instructional design theories, which are detailed in the infographics and illustrated with instances of how they were applied to learning. A learning circumstance is described on each page in terms of a matching learning theory.
IDD&E phases involved:
Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation
Reflection:
The process of creating this website has greatly increased my understanding of learning theory and instructional design. People learn in a variety of ways, thus when it comes to education, you must be able to adapt to different types of students using instructional design theory. This was both my first time using Wix and my first time creating a website. I am pleased with the outcome of my website. In addition, I enjoyed utilizing infographs to describe both learning and design theories. The infographic was created using a variety of applications. My work, I believe, was quite clear and comprehensive. In addition, I think it was visually appealing and met the project's needs.
project 02: Project Management Plan
Course : IDE761 Strategies in Educational Project Management
Project title: K-12 Educational Technology Project Management Plan
Authors: Abdulrahman Algriwi, Ibrahim Kizil, Jingyu Yang,
Context of the project: The project management plan entails the organizing, directing, and regulating of resources over a set period of time in order to achieve specific goals and objectives. The project management plan is a problem-solving procedure in which a project's human and material resources are coordinated, assisted, and monitored until the educational project is completed successfully.
IDD&E phases involved:
Analysis, Design, Development, and Implementation.
Reflection:
I quickly realized how little I knew about project management. A project management plan entails setting aside time to plan, organize, direct, and control resources in order to achieve certain goals and objectives. A project management plan is a problem-solving method for coordinating, facilitating, and controlling project resources, people, and materials to ensure the successful completion of an educational project. Gantt charts, variance reports, critical routes, organizational charts, and job descriptions are all skills you've learned. Controlling the project's elements in terms of staying on schedule, maintaining quality, and staying under budget was a big task. You worked with an excellent team; we exchanged many ideas, wrote an excellent report, and we are proud of our accomplishments. The project management class was a lot of fun, and I think it will be an area where I can improve in the future.
project 03: Front-End Analysis Plan
Course : IDE712 Analysis for Human Performance Technology Decisions
Project title: The Use of Open Educational Resource Platform
Authors: Abdulrahman Algriwi
Context of the project: Identify and come up with a detailed plan to fix a performance problem. Working for ten years in Saudi public education schools, I simply conducted a front-end analysis to help fill a gap for a group of teachers in the use of open educational portal resources. I had to define the problem to look for some of the possible causes and how they affect the teachers' performance. Later, I discovered some potential solutions, and collected some data such as interviews and group discussions. This assignment helps me solve a real-world problem and possibly many future problems.
IDD&E phases involved: Analysis, Evaluation.
Reflection:
The project is set in a real-life scenario with a complex and demanding educational setting. I had a lot of fun learning about the many evaluation methodologies used to evaluate human performance in the workplace and in various educational settings. I learned how to identify and describe needs in a quantifiable manner. how to choose the right model for conducting FEA with the target audience. I learned a lot from this course, and as an instructional designer, I recognized how important it is to determine the nature of the performance problem.
project 04:
Course: IDE641 Techniques in Educational Evaluation
Project title: Time Management Marathon
Authors: Abdulrahman Algriwi, Ekaterina Tretiakova, Omar Ali Almatrudi
Context of the project: This is a type of evaluation for the second webinar of "TIME MANAGEMENT MARATHON." our team decided to do the formative evaluation. The supervisors began to notice that some employees' productivity had decreased. They required longer hours to perform the same jobs and occasionally failed to meet deadlines. The project used numerous evaluation approaches, including expert review and one-to-one evaluation.
IDD&E phases involved: Evaluation
Reflection:
It is a large project with numerous tasks and tools. Each stage's task was divided by the team. The majority of the evaluation process was involved, including client interviews, research for evaluation questions, and data cleansing and analysis. Due to the COVID pandemic, I have worked in a very dynamic group and have learned how to work collaboratively in an online environment.
project 05: Website Evaluation
Course: IDE611 Technologies for Instructional Settings
Project title: Homer Central School District- Web Site Evaluation
Author: Abdulrahman Algriwi
Context of the project: For this lesson, we were required to select a website to evaluate. The goal of this project was to give us real-world experience in assisting an educational institution in improving its website quality. We acted as an evaluation consultant for this project. To make this assessment, I employed two different tools. Motivational Website Analysis Checklist and Content Validity Scale for WebMAC Professional (version 2.0). Both the WebMAC and the Validity Scale were used to assess the website.
IDD&E phases involved: Analysis, Evaluation
Reflection:
This project was both beneficial and intriguing to me. Prior to this project, I had no expertise in evaluating websites. Furthermore, it caused me to reconsider how I use technology (the website). As a result of this project, I now go to several websites and self-evaluate them, noting the various characteristics they have. Using the numerous evaluation tools to assist analyze the site was fascinating. You've mastered the notion of website evaluation as well as a basic understanding of how to rate. I became more conscious of the usage of technology in education as a result of this initiative.
